A). What is this new educational technology and how does it work?
This new educational technology is called labquest and it can connect to 5 different devices at once, like a laptop
and vernier GPS sensor, a large skinny beaker, a telescope, and a vernier easy link. The Lapquest has built in sound sensor, thermometer, and microphone. This device works by existing vernier sensors
and can collect data at 100k per sec. The labquest has a probe inside of it that makes sure it does not overheat.
B). How can we use this new technology in two of our CORE classes to help us learn the curriculum?
This technology can help us in two of our core classes because the labquest has a keyboard for easy note taking and making those classes funner with it's vivd colors,touch screen. The labquest would get kids to pay more attention in class because it is a device they can interact with instead of having to watch the teacher do the experiment and with the labquest we could do field work instead of having to stay indoors. It connects to laptops and computers or evan the smart board in our classroom,and it can be used as a stand alone device. If we where learning about temperature in science class the labquest has a built in thermometer saving much more time and when we do experiments we can do our scientific write up on the labquest. It has a built in calculator that could help us in math class.
